Avian facilities at Island Wildlife are varied and extensive. An enormous flight cage, measuring 110’ long, is used for exercising and flight training large birds such as hawks, eagles and herons. Two large sets of of bi-fold doors can divide the structure into different sizes to accommodate multiple species at the same time.

This charming gazebo is a songbird aviary where small bird species learn to fly and forage in a naturally landscaped environment.

The octagon shaped structure is a net surrounded, filtered, seabird tank. Fabricated from recycled materials, the roof is a discarded satellite dish. This structure is designed to protect a seabird’s feathers and critical ability to remain waterproof.
